is a collaboration between the Central Somerset Outdoor Learning Partnership and The Charltons Historical Society.

The project was launched on 6th July 2013 and events tooke place in The Charltons during the summer and autumn of 2013.

The project aimed to engage the local community in learning about and cataloguing pottery and archaeological remains from their area, which includes part of the Roman Fosse Way just north of Ilchester, through a series of practical workshops and talks.  There were also opportunities to take part in experimental archaeology through the reconstruction of a Romano-British kiln and to take part in pottery-making workshops.

Dates and details of project events were announced locally and on our websites.   For further information please do contact us.
